LinkedIn Outreach
1Use LinkedIn for research first
Study the company page, decision maker’s role, recent company activity and relevant public information before contacting anyone.
2Improve your profile
Your profile should clearly explain who you help and the business outcomes you work on. Avoid vague or exaggerated claims.
3Find the right person
Search for founders, owners, sales leaders, marketing leaders, operations leaders and other roles relevant to your proposed service.
4Do not pitch immediately
A connection request should be natural and relevant. Where appropriate, begin with context rather than a long sales message.
5Personalize
Reference something genuinely relevant to the company or role. Do not use fake familiarity.
6Move toward a business conversation
Once there is interest, ask questions about the current process and determine whether there is a real problem worth solving.
7Track activity
Record connections, replies, follow-ups and next actions in your CRM.
Assignment Identify ten relevant decision makers. Research each one, prioritize the strongest five and prepare a short, personalized connection or introductory message.
